Open-air exposed wooden areas in boats areas like floors, handrails, etc are without doubt among the most heavily stressed parts of any boat. They are permanently exposed to the elements and are subject to constant changes in temperature and seawater.

MARIS POLYMERS offers a unique transparent coating technology, the transparent liquid-applied Polyurethane waterproofing system MARITRANS® BOAT.

The MARITRANS® BOAT is a technologically advanced, transparent liquid polyurethane waterproofing membrane / varnish that offers easy application, full certifications, and most importantly guaranteed long lasting results. It can be used for new wooden boat construction but also for repair or renewal.

MARITRANS® BOAT

Properties

The MARITRANS®  BOAT is a transparent, hard-elastic, one component, aliphatic polyurethane, high-solids coating, used for long-lasting waterproofing of wooden surfaces in boats. This high-technology coating is UV-stable, non-yellowing, weather stable, alkali and chemical resistant and even after aging it remains transparent and elastic. The MARITRANS®  protects and waterproofs wooden surfaces against water penetration, salt, frost and acid rain.

MARITRANS BOAT® is using a unique curing system (moisture triggered), and unlike other similar systems it does not react with moisture (moisture-cured) and does not form bubbles.
